Comparing PPF brands in India.
A car-care guide
The best PPF choice is a named film that suits your finish, panel coverage and budget—not a brand ranking.
General guidance from 1.618 Dettagli Auto, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.
Begin the discussion
Which PPF brand suits your car?
Choose the product for your intended finish, covered panels and applicable terms. Our paint protection film service connects that choice to the work on your car.
A manufacturer may offer several products under one familiar name. Those products can differ in finish, surface features and applicable terms. Compare the proposed variant, not everything associated with the brand. This keeps a gloss-film discussion separate from a matte or colour-change choice.
For example, two owners comparing the same brands may want different results. One may prioritise retaining gloss on selected panels; another may want a matte appearance across the painted exterior. Set that brief first. It gives the product comparison a purpose and makes it easier to leave irrelevant options out of the discussion. The starting brand list can remain the same.

The comparison
Manufacturer examples to compare
Compare named products by their stated finish, surface features and supporting documents. The examples below give each conversation a specific starting point. They are not positions in a league table. Use the final column to connect the manufacturer description with the product offered for your vehicle.
Keep any missing specification attached to the relevant row. For example, if one film has a documented thickness and the other has only a finish description, complete the missing field before comparing them. This gives you a cleaner shortlist than assigning a score to products described at different levels of detail. The table can then follow the actual proposals.
| Maker and example | Product description | Match to your proposal |
|---|---|---|
| Garware range | Gloss, matte, black and other options | Exact variant, finish and applicable local terms |
| LLumar Platinum Gloss | High-shine finish and self-healing surface | Gloss product identity and limited-warranty document |
| XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS | Heat-activated self-healing described on the India page | Variant, finish, care instructions and registration details |
| 3M Scotchgard Pro Series | Polyurethane base film and self-healing features | Regional specification and matching product documents |
| STEK DYNOshield | Gloss TPU film with a hydrophobic topcoat | Exact product and applicable local proposal |
Garware options
How to compare a Garware proposal
Compare a Garware proposal by its exact variant and finish, because the manufacturer’s range includes several different visual choices. Gloss, matte, black and other products each need their own specification. The relevant sample and technical sheet should belong to the film being proposed.
Our Garware PPF guide focuses on that brand discussion. Start with whether you want to retain your car’s appearance or change it. Then set the panel list and preparation alongside the product. This gives you a clear basis for comparing another Garware option or a different maker.
Garware’s manufacturer guidance says washing can resume after 72 hours and advises against applying its PPF over a ceramic-coated car. That makes previous treatments relevant to the film choice; these instructions are not interchangeable with another maker’s guidance.

LLumar options
How to compare a LLumar proposal
Compare a LLumar proposal by the named product, intended finish and matching warranty terms. Platinum Gloss is described as a high-shine film with a self-healing surface. LLumar lists a 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty for that product, subject to its terms and restrictions.
For a matte result, identify the actual matte product rather than borrowing the specification from Platinum Gloss. Look at the relevant sample with your car’s colour in mind. The product family gives an overview; the variant tells you what appearance and documents belong in your own proposal.
Platinum Gloss is the manufacturer example here; its specification and warranty do not automatically apply to another LLumar variant. Match the exact product across the quote, invoice and any required registration record.
XPEL options
How to compare an XPEL proposal
Compare an XPEL proposal by the exact product and finish, then match the stated features to that film. XPEL’s India page describes heat-activated self-healing for minor scratches and swirl marks. Self-healing addresses those fine surface marks, not deep cuts, torn film or dents.
The same page lists a 10-year warranty for ULTIMATE PLUS. Read the applicable document for coverage, conditions and the available remedy. Keep the product name visible throughout that discussion so a headline period stays attached to the film it describes.
A matching sample gives a reference for appearance and surface behaviour. Different XPEL products are not interchangeable specifications; care instructions and warranty documents belong to the named film.

3M options
How to compare a 3M proposal
Compare a 3M proposal by the full product name and regional specification, not the 3M name alone. The Scotchgard Pro Series page identifies a polyurethane base film and describes self-healing features. Use that product identity to find the matching finish, care guidance and written terms.
3M says to wait one week before washing or waxing its described Pro Series film. This differs from the Garware guidance above, showing why aftercare belongs with the selected product. At handover, the instructions should match what was actually supplied rather than another film mentioned during the comparison.
For two 3M quotes, keep the car, panel list and preparation consistent. A difference in included work may explain part of the price difference. The regional product sheet then lets you compare the material itself, without mixing specifications from another variant under the same brand.
STEK options
How STEK DYNOshield compares
STEK DYNOshield provides another named example of gloss TPU film with a hydrophobic topcoat and heat-assisted self-healing. These features make it useful for comparing construction and surface descriptions with other products. Keep that comparison tied to DYNOshield when reading a proposal for another STEK variant.
STEK lists a 10-year warranty for DYNOshield. Its applicable terms set the coverage, territory and remedy; the headline period is not the full warranty.
If a proposal adds a separate coating, identify that product and the intended benefit. Compatibility and care then need to match the combination. This is a useful comparison across brands too: a film-only quote and a film-plus-coating quote include different materials and should show that difference clearly.

Specification questions
Compare construction and finish fairly
Compare base material, top surface, finish and thickness as separate fields for each product. Read the TPU, TPH and finish guide for the distinction. TPU identifies a material; gloss or matte describes appearance. Self-healing and water behaviour concern features of the selected surface.
For thickness, put measurements on the same basis before judging the figures. Record the units and whether adhesive is included. A larger number leaves the visual result, care requirements and written terms unanswered. Use it as one part of the specification, alongside the other fields.
Film will not stop every chip or repair damaged paint. Repaired panels and existing treatments can affect suitability, while a matching sample helps explain the intended appearance.
Agree the proposal
Which films are on our list?
Our film list includes Garware Protect, Matte and Black Gloss; LLumar Gloss; and XPEL Ultimate Plus, Stealth and Ultimate Plus Black. At our Lajpat Nagar studio, we agree the film, finish and panels before work starts. Preparation and installation are included; GST is extra.
Use the quote checklist to record the work alongside the material. Include the panel list, intended edge treatment, exclusions and any separately priced work. Compare installed price factors by car size on that basis. A product-only figure describes less than the completed job on your vehicle.
When an alternative is suggested, set out what changes in the film, appearance, care and terms. Keep the same scope unless you are deliberately changing coverage too. That makes the choice easier to follow and avoids comparing one brand’s partial package with another brand’s larger job.
If the total exceeds your budget, separate the coverage decision from the brand decision. Compare fewer agreed panels with the original scope, then compare another named film on that same panel list. Changing one part at a time shows where the saving comes from. You can choose the compromise you understand instead of comparing two entirely different packages.

Written terms
Read past warranty years
Warranty years become useful when read with the issuer, covered defects, conditions and remedy. The warranty and lifespan guide separates these terms from the installed film’s condition and ongoing care. Keep the applicable document, rather than relying only on the period printed in a brochure.
A product warranty does not by itself establish fitting-support terms. For a concern about an existing installation, call or message us with the film identity, invoice and photographs.
After fitting, retain the invoice, product identification, care instructions and any registration record together. These documents explain what you bought and help the relevant party identify it later. Choose the proposal for its product, work and support, rather than budgeting on an assumed future resale return.
A few answers
Questions before deciding
Which PPF brand is best in India?
The useful choice is a named product that suits your intended finish, coverage and budget. Compare the same installed scope and applicable terms, rather than treating one brand as the winner for every car.
Do you fit all the brands listed?
Garware, LLumar and XPEL appear on our film list. Our listed variants are Garware Protect, Matte and Black Gloss; LLumar Gloss; and XPEL Ultimate Plus, Stealth and Ultimate Plus Black. The other manufacturer examples help compare products rather than defining the studio’s supplied range.
How do I compare 3M and Garware prices?
Use the same vehicle, finish, panel list and preparation. Identify both exact products, then compare the installed proposals and tax basis. This makes the price difference easier to understand.
Does a maker’s warranty cover installation?
Read the applicable product warranty and separate installation-support terms. Record who handles each type of concern so the support route is clear alongside the material choice.
Is a warranty card enough to identify the product?
Keep the invoice and exact product identity alongside any warranty card or registration record. The documents should agree about the supplied film and customer job, with a clear issuing party.
