Before you compare PPF quotes.
A car-care guide
To identify genuine PPF, match the exact film across its maker documents, quote and invoice; compare prices only after the finish, panels and preparation match.
General guidance from 1.618 Dettagli Auto, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.
Begin the discussion
What should a PPF quote include?
A PPF quote should name the vehicle, film, finish, coverage, preparation and price basis in one document. Add the applicable warranty, installation support and handover instructions. Our PPF service is the starting point for agreeing the proposed work on your car.
Put those details beside the installed figure and the written terms. This PPF buying checklist helps you see what each quote includes before deciding which proposal fits your car.
At our Lajpat Nagar studio, preparation and installation are included in the agreed job. Film, finish and scope are agreed before work starts. GST is extra. Use the installed-price guide to separate an installed proposal from the cost of buying film alone.
Begin with what you want covered and the appearance you want to keep or change. Give the model, variant and known paint history. That makes the quote about your vehicle rather than a package title. Keep the same brief when requesting another proposal so the differences remain visible.

Know the product
How do you check the film identity?
Film identity comes from matching the exact product across the quote, technical sheet, sample and invoice. The brand comparison explains named variants. Where a maker provides a registration or verification route, its records add evidence beyond a logo.
A thickness figure is useful only when its measurement basis is clear. A material label alone leaves the actual product unresolved. Keep the matching technical sheet with the proposal and record the identification supplied at handover. If the film changes before fitting, update the product details and applicable terms together.
- Manufacturer and exact product or variant.
- Proposed finish and matching sample.
- Technical sheet for the actual product.
- Base material and thickness on a stated measurement basis.
- Product identification recorded with the invoice.
- Applicable registration or warranty-check route.
Panels and edges
How should PPF coverage be recorded?
Record PPF coverage as a panel list or marked vehicle plan. Names such as front, partial and full body should lead to specific surfaces. Include the areas you care about, then record exclusions alongside them. This makes two coverage proposals easy to compare.
Edge treatment and joins affect the appearance of fitted film. A reference photograph can show an edge location, but it cannot establish the scope for another vehicle.
When one proposal covers more panels, compare that difference separately from the film choice. You may prefer a smaller coverage area with your chosen product, or a broader scope. Keeping those decisions separate makes the budget conversation clearer and avoids treating different jobs as matching quotes.

Before fitting
What preparation is included?
The quote should describe the preparation included for your car and how additional work will be approved. Share known repainting, repairs and previous surface treatments before the assessment. A new-car registration date is not a description of the paint condition.
Repairing paint and correcting marks are different from fitting a protective film. Any additional work changes the comparison between quotes, so it belongs alongside the main panel scope and installed figure.
Written terms
How do you compare PPF warranties?
Compare the product warranty and installation support as two separate parts of the proposal. The product terms should identify the issuer, variant, territory, covered defects and remedy. LLumar lists a 10-year manufacturer limited warranty for Platinum Gloss, with restrictions; read the applicable document for the proposed job.
Registration requirements and remedies follow the applicable maker terms. Product cover and fitting support are different subjects; a warranty card alone does not explain both. Our PPF lifespan and warranty guide explains the records to retain.

After handover
What should be agreed before collection?
Care instructions are specific to the fitted film and finish. First-wash timing and suitable cleaning products belong with those instructions, including when somebody else normally washes the car.
Your quote includes the expected handover time. That estimate belongs with the agreed job, not a general turnaround figure for every car.
Carry it with you
What belongs on the comparison checklist?
The comparison checklist should put the same job details beside each installer’s figure. Fill it from the written proposals and leave unanswered fields open for clarification. The downloadable version gives you one place to keep those answers.
Compare the installed total only after the film, coverage and preparation match. If one quote includes a different finish or an extra panel, label that difference. Keep the agreed version and update it whenever the product or scope changes. Price alone does not establish film authenticity or workmanship.
Keep alternatives on separate lines rather than overwriting the main proposal. For example, a different film and an extra panel are two changes, even when offered together. Record the price and scope for each option so you can choose them independently. Date the version you approve and retain any later revisions with it. At handover, match the final invoice and coverage record to that approved version, including any changes you agreed during the job.

| Compare | Record for each quote |
|---|---|
| Vehicle and condition | Model, variant, repairs and assessment |
| Film and finish | Exact variant, technical sheet and sample |
| Coverage | Panels, edges, joins and exclusions |
| Preparation | Included work and approval for extras |
| Product warranty | Issuer, conditions, remedy and registration |
| Installation support | Contact, assessment route and terms |
| Handover care | First wash and instructions for the fitted film |
Pause and clarify
When should you pause a PPF booking?
Pause a booking when the film identity, included work or warranty issuer remains unclear. Resolve the specific missing answer before approving the job. A useful response should point to the product document, scope or written term that settles it.
For an existing installation concern, gather the invoice, panel photos and paint history before requesting an assessment. Describe the problem without deciding its cause from a single image. Keep the conversation focused on the evidence and the next practical step.
A few answers
Questions before deciding
How can I check genuine PPF?
Match the exact film across its product documents, quote and invoice. Use the issuer’s checkable registration route where one applies; a logo alone is insufficient.
Is cheaper PPF always fake?
No. First compare film identity, panel coverage, preparation, tax and written terms to understand the difference between the proposals.
Does a glossy finish identify the film?
No. A sample or photograph shows appearance. Product identity comes from the matching documents and records.
What is the shortest useful brief for a quote?
Send the car model and variant, known repairs, preferred finish and panels you want covered. Include your main concern so the proposal addresses it.
Where can I discuss Garware PPF?
The Garware guide explains the listed products and finishes. The exact variant matters more than the brand name alone.
Message the studio with your car model and the finish or work you want to discuss.
